| EngineLittle 01.04.2018, 08:37 I'm new to ford stuff. I'm needing help to determine whether my engine is a HO or not. Not real sure what it came out of because I bought it used, but the guy said 87 Lincoln. Truth to that, I have no idea. I'm curious if there is a way by putting the motor in TDC and determining which plug hole 1 or 3 would show compression or something along those lines? Anything helps guys kind of lost and would hate to build my plug wires for the wrong firing order. mr. anderson 01.04.2018, 08:52 firing order, 1,3 is correct, 1,5 is not. should follow the 351W firing order EngineLittle 01.04.2018, 09:01 I know the two firing orders, I'm just not sure which to use. Don't know if my motor is a HO or not mr. anderson 01.04.2018, 09:24 here this will help find out about the block, you need to find the block casting number, should be on the passenger side of the block above the starter:
