Well it looks like the TPS plug coming from the harness is not passing the voltage to the TPS. I don't suppose that plug is available? It does not look bad but I can jumper around it and it works.
Makes since, I just check voltage on the orange when the TPS is plugged in and zero volts. Looks like the only connector between eec is the salt and pepper plugs. Ill check it.
I do realize the 5 volts going in the TPS transfers voltage according to throttle opening back to eec. I have changed the TPS twice, first with a BWD brand then a motorcraft.
What could possibly be blowing the TPS if it is actually blown? Is there a resistance test I could do on the TPS? ...
I am really at my whits end on this deal. I have an 87 GT E303 cam the aftermarket intake, looks like the Edelbrock Performer. I put some Edelbrock performer heads, new 75mm TB, 75mm mass air and 30 lb injectors. I set the TPS and had .95 volts at the green wire after the install. I fixed a couple ...
Cable was showing signs of ware at the top. I was able to take it loose and squirt some gear lube inside the cable then pack the end with a little grease and that seem to do it.
Thanks trevnut
My 87 clutch pedal gets sticky, it feels like the cable is rubbing real hard against the plastic at the end of the cable but no signs of wear. You push it down and let up about half way and it sticks. Hard to push back down. I adjusted it then it worked great but 2 weeks later its sticking again. ...
