| | I thought about that, I think it has too much fuel pressure, my bet is its at around 42 lbs, shouldn't it be around 38 or so? Also I cleaned the maf and iac. Still actin wierd Well I thought mods were in Sig, just ask if u have q's The car just started acting up this morning, haven't had much time to check it out, but when I started it up it was bogging a lil and kept acting like it was going to die, and the rpms were jumping around, its a new motor, had it since around Jan or Feb, been running great, but not now, I think it ... sweet thanks guys, ill get it replaced this weekend and let you know what happens. change fuel filter, and check for vacuum leaks, i had the same problem, fixed now for the most part, just surges on first start in this 30* weather now. i read that my ignition switch could cause this after being used constantly for 22 years. whatta ya think? also, a friend told me that if my amp ground is longer than 6in then i wont have a good connection. true? hes got his masters in elec engineering. well it goes past 20 now for sure, sounds better too, but shut off on me once when i came to a stop and pushed in clutch. batt voltage dropped a lil then it turned off, hmm... would my IVR have control over this? wonder if i have a loose wire under the dash or under steering column... yeah just dropped in the new motor, i made sure the grounds were all good. but i had problems before also. update, i just found that my amp was grounded to a metal bracket, which i thought was good, until just now i realized it was bolted to plastic. so i regrounded to the frame. havent drivin it ... baught this a couple months ago at oreillys for a lil over 100 bucks, ac delco 1000lb stand. used it once. 75 bucks OBO its in collinsville about 116th and garnett. i can break it down per request if you'd like. old post, still got it if anyones interested. 100 bucks firm, come get em. hell of a steal ive been having issues with my kenwood stereo deck, and i think the issue is where the harness connects into the back of the deck, if i turn it up to around 20 or so, it will shut off, and turn back on, and shut off, until i turn it down a little, then it stops. sometimes it wont turn on at all... ... sweet, wheres ur shop located? pm me an estimate if possible. thanks lol i know how. Was asking how you did it. Most people dont know about the spout that why i was asking. yeah that wouldnt be good, that would put it at like 5* ATDC. lol yeah i thought about having the injectors cleaned. who can i bring them to? i dont want to flush through that injector cleaner BS. they were used when i got them. dunno how old. well you cant if your car is newer than 95. but you have to have a timing light, connect to #1 cylinder wire, then i usually connect red to power side of starter selinoid, and black to a good ground such as power steering mounting bracket, disconnect spout connector, start the car, loosen ... well i think i got it figured out, i checked timing today and it was around 6* btdc, adjusted it back to 14* and changed fuel filter, runs better now, also found a cracked vacuum line i will have to replace. ok let me just fill you in on my current set up, its a fresh 302 with maybe a couple thousand miles, out of a '95, it has a b303 cam, 1.6RR, hardened pushrods, frpp roller lifters, on exhaust port matched gt40p's, it also has gt40p upper and lower intake, 24lb injectors, 24lb 76mm MAF, and 75mm TB ... | |
