To be honest with you I'm not sure its been awhile since I have worked on older mustangs. Probably would be better to ask in the forums to see.
Went to an 89 ford pickup and was taken out a couple of months ago and worked just fine before it was pulled. Was going to use it for my 88 mustang but decided to go a different direction.
