Would you rather you or spouse be a stay at home parent?!

oooooooooor would you rather both not work and be on welfare???
jgibson 21.02.2012, 17:17
Neither!

I prefer two working adults. But in today's economy where childcare consists of crack and duct tape, I may consider the wife staying at home to watch the kids when we have them. But I will need to make more money before that happens.

Really?! You wouldnt like to stay home and play with the kiddo, play video games, cook, relax, take naps etc??

I think children need to be around other children to develop interaction, and dealing with life capabilities. If that requires one parent to work to pay soley for child care then so be it.

When they were younger I would have prefered one of us home. However now with sports and all of us wanting our fun toys it is better with both parents working! Our kids are in daycare for 1 hour a day during the school year. Once summer is here they will back to the full day scenario however have plenty of activies and trips to keep them occupied. They also love where they go so that helps a lot.

I would prefer the wife be at home with the kid, but we both work for now. I'm not looking forward to putting our boy in daycare in a few weeks.

I feel the same way. I think one parent only needs to be home for like the 1st year or so.

Hell no! When I'm not in school and it's my day off and I'm not doing anything I feel like a useless fuck..I can't imagine being like that all the time! I am a strong believer in working for the shit I want. I usually find a way to work and make money even on my day off. It pays off well and makes me feel good. As for kids.. I don't plan on any of those any time soon..

Until age 3 or 4 yea. After that. Daycare should suffice.
