Welding up torque boxes worth it?

In a nitrous sb that makes say 600hp with a auto. Do the torque boxes need to be welded? May see track time every once in a while. Mostly a street car. Meaning driven on street alot.

Don't want your traction. Cost me to much in spark plugs.

In my opinion, I think it'd be silly not to, especially if it was a factory v8/stick chassis. My friend's stock 90 gt almost completely ripped an upper torque box out. On his it appeared to only have a couple spot welds from the factory, and we think that some previous owner drove it hard, and might have had a minor accident with it. Basically I feel the minimal factory welds are barely sufficient for stock, and with age, additional power, and whatever accident damage that might have happened before you ever got the chassis, the boxes and surrounding metal is going to have fatigue issues.... Especially if it was originally a v8.

Tyler,weld them up...too many cars that have them ripped apart from not having them welded.
