Welding up torque boxes worth it?

He'll I have some of those reinforcment plates NIB....offered them for 30.00 and everyone acted like I was selling a bottle of HIV. Almost gave them away.....70.00??? Glad I kept them.

some kits are 30 some are 70 the 70 buck one has the plates you weld inside the car

I ground the undercoat of them and Frank Tank welded them up!

I have never seen them for $30. Did you get the full upper and lower kit?

I got the kit I have in a trade. I just don't want them but when I went to sell them nobody wanted them. Still on a shelf in the garage. So I don't know what they cost new.

I just had to have it done im only making 400hp with nos. I have south side machine upper and lower control arms thease C/A have no bushings. They have that reforce kit for torque boxs for 70 bucks on a few websites midwest mustangs put them on and painted them for 200 bucks not a bad deal they work great

you need to weld the lower control arm bracket(that bolts to the rear end housing and lowers the control arm)to the housing.dont spot weld it either,weld a good solid bead!dont ask me how i know.....

i ripped the spot welds when i launched on this pass and it was a butt puchering deal...
