As for the cam, ran a n-41 with trickflow springs and really liked it. It sounded great also.
.... .... The02GT 22.01.2012, 04:53 ^That sounds nasty. From what I have read a lot of ppl say the TFS1 cam will go good with the heads and the duration is right around where I want to be. Will I need a "chip" OR just a different maf calibrated for 24lb injectors? I take it the MAF does all the necessary "tuning" for these cars right? john-dickjr 13.02.2012, 18:28 best cam for a budget build is the stock mustang cam shotsy242 22.02.2012, 22:45 Anderson makes some nice cam grinds, but are pricey... My friends have had great luck with the trick flow stage 1 cam with 1.72 rockers, however you have to remember to upgrade the springs as the stock springs are just too soft. Also upgraded pushrods and guide plates are cheap insurance. Also, the ACT sensor port is not tapped on the explorer lower intake, so you will have to do that or have it done... Also, any taller than stock valvecovers will have a difficult time clearing, so a spacer will most likely be needed, requiring you to find bolts or studs to hold it down.
The Ace hardware on Air Depot has the 7 inch bolts that will acomodate an explorer intake with a 1/2 inch spacer. It took me 6 months but I finaly got them to order a box :-) Similar Threads | |
