If it doesnt have a spring or air launcher,i wonder if the angle(within reason) is important since its gravity and momentum that extends and opens it.

Spring and pneumatic they say 40-45deg

I welded it up myself. It's a Comp Engineering kit. They say its a 60 degree and works great without a spoiler and a non-assisted(small spring) chute.

Welded the tubes, made some custom braces and finished the sway bar links.

did you jig the rear end up before you welded the tubes?

Ok first real problem. The accessory drive will not clear a downpipe... Now I can still move the engine back an inch and I know 94-95 mustang drive will give me another 1.75" BUT I really like the 351w accessory drive so I'm going to cut the top core support (bottom is already gone) and build a removable tubular crossmember to mount the turbos further forward.

Ok so I cut out the core support and moved the turbos. Now I'm working on the crossmember to hold the turbos in this position.

Ok so got the new crossmember mostly finished. A few braces and a coat of paint left.
Plenty of room now for the 4" downpipe.

I've gotten in my downpipes fabbed up. Also my Stange 35 spline axle kit came in so I'm tearing the rearend apart and cleaning/painting the case.

Well I finished up the driver's side exhaust to the turbo and I'm 90% done with the passenger (need to order one more bend).. It looks like a snake but with the body panels on it's so clean..
O and yes that is a 4" downpipe that will be exiting the front bumper.
