I got to work on my turbo hotside fab. BBK shortys are very restricive suprised?

Started with thick plate steel and had my hotside entry pattern made.

Cut a whole in the plate 3"
....

Completed mount
....

Tacked on the turbo entry
....

Cut off the BBK flange and the whole on the ball is 2" narrowed down from a 3". Hard to believe they are that restrictive from the factory.

Its hard to see but damn there is a LOT of slag on the inside. This is before the grinding

....


This is with all 4 pipes clened up. I dunno if you can see a difference but there is a ton of obstruction removed in this pic

I know some of the mass in the pipes is needed but I bet in each pipe there was half a thimble of metal removed. So before every jumps in and tells me I made a mistake. I didn't remove that much.

Looks like your not wasting any time swapping ovwr.i never would have thought those headers were so restrictive..anderson shorties have a smoothe cone where the four pipes meet in the collector.now I know why they are so expensive compared to the bbk,mac,etc...shorties..

Those headers look good compared my Hooker Supercomps.

Added the ends and they will get weled by Frank Tanks since he can tig

I have decided to do a 2.5" crossover. Franks welds are nice with his TIG my mig works great but the tigs are tits!
