Do you think this would be OK, or would it be risky to buy something like this from somone you don't know? All the feedback is good, but I'm sure people send the feedback when they recieve the item. Who knows, 1000 miles later it could break anyone .

I've been watching these, and some of them are going for $250-$300 from this seller. I just wonder if it's safe.

Do you have the parts to fix yours? What broke in it?

It ate some spider gears, but the ring and pinion still look good.

I was also thinking about changing the ratio. It has 3.55s in it now, and I'm considering going to a 3.73, but I can't decide. I can get what ever ratio I want from this place too for the same price. If I change the ratio, this will be the cheapest way to go for me.

If you are not in a big hurry I can build it. Just get the spiders from Blumenthal's

I would think that if he was selling faulty parts some negative feedback would have caught up with him.

Getting anxious to get her back on the road and just considering buying a rebuilt 3rd member?

I was in a hurry, but things keep popping up and I haven't got it done yet. Someone else from the board had offered to rebuild it for me as well, but my work schedule has been so busy lately, I haven't been able to get up there. I was going to try it this weekend but I had a trip at work come up to St. Croix that I'm taking next week, so I'm saving my money to spend down there now.

It's been broken since the day after the poker run, and I'm ready for it to drive before the weather gets bad again. If I can get that whole 3rd member for $300, it's not much more than it will cost to fix mine by the time you factor in me driving up there in my gas guzzling truck, buying parts, paying for labor, ect......

Basically, yeah. I just don't have time to deal with trying to get mine fixed. I can't get away to bring it up, and deer season is getting real close so all my weekends will be taken up shortly.
