The transmission lost 1st and 2nd gear, i finally got it tore down and found this. Yea everything im finding supports what i was thinking. Im going to have to get another output shaft. If anyone has a junk t-5 laying around or a good shaft let me know. I took my T-5 apart to day to start rebuilding it and found that the 1st/2nd syncro hub was loose on the output shaft. After removing the retainer, the hub just came right off. Found that all the splines on the hub are gone, but the shaft is fine. From my understanding, that hub is pressed on and ... hmmmm.. i may know someone.lol How much for just the rims and center caps? Im looking for a set for 5 lug 15x8 (5.5 bs) and 15x3.5 or 15x4 wheels for a 90 mustang. Let me know what you have. I had 3.55's in mine got got around 21mpg on the highway with a t-5 and 26 inch tires, changed to 4.10's and still got 19 mpg on the highway. 3.73's would be a good middle ground, butAll three are fine for daily driving. I can install them but im a few weeks out on any new work. I think i need to find a couple t-5's that i can rebuild. lol i don't have to remove my foot. 1250 is around of the cost of aluminum heads. Sounds like you have a high dollar combo there that's more than those super super, high dollar, top fuel dragster, miracle heads that I have cost. Thats almost what my complete ... |
